By the following code snippets you can easily include and tailor suit the output of the random quote database for your own page. Just follow the examples and instructions.

All outputs are contained within the same structure of HTML, which is named by classes that allows you to customize the output through your stylesheet. The structure is as follows:

<div class="container"><p class="authorquote">QUOTE</p><p class="authorinfo">QUOTE AUTHOR</p></div>

Output random quotes from a specific author, and narrow the length of quotes to output. The length parameter can of course, be omitted. If not omitted, it is considered wise to choose a relatively logical length number. Possibly no lower than 35 and no higher than 400. A length larger than 400, or mayhap even lower, is not a quote, it is a fricking speech :)

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://opelwerk.com/quotes/quotes.pl?id=outsource&quoteterm=random&maxlength=200&nameterm=Morten Abel"></script>

This produces the following output from the quote database:

Output random quotes from no specific author, and narrow the length of quotes to output. The length parameter can of course, be omitted like in the previous code snippet.

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://opelwerk.com/quotes/quotes.pl?id=outsource&quoteterm=random&maxlength=350"></script>

This produces the following output from the quote database:

Try a random Kramer quote too, while you are at it :)
